Birth Doula Services:

Price: $50-$500

What you get:

A free consultation. We can meet up and see if we are a good fit for each other.

Two prenatal visits where we can discuss your birthing preferences, make a birth plan, practice pain-relieving techniques with your other birth partner(s), go over questions to ask your health care providers, make affirmations, go over some of the science and basic information you will need for labor, and discuss nutrition. I can also do an optional third prenatal visit to just hang out and get to know each other better. The purpose of the prenatal visits is so that we become more familiar and comfortable with each other and so that I am fully aware of how you want your birth to be.

I will attend your entire birth. You can call me as early on or as late as you want me to be there. I will help with pain-relieving techniques during labor and be there to support you in whatever ways that you need. This could be helping to watch your other children, doing dishes, making healthy foods for labor, or any other ways that you feel would be beneficial for you. I have essential oils, birthing balls, a rebozo, and several things that I can bring with me to help enhance your birthing space. If you are having a hospital or birth center birth, I will come with you and stay with you the whole time.

After you have your baby I will do 1-2 postpartum visits.  During this time, you can ask me any questions you may have. We will go over your birth, what you liked/didn’t like, and I can help with some light household duties (laundry, meal prep, whatever you need help with). We can go over your nutritional needs for breastfeeding, some of the ways that your baby communicates, discuss your emotional state, and talk about some of the ways that you make sure you are still getting taken care of. If you need any education about things like how to change a diaper, soothing a crying baby, or other baby care taking basics, we can go over these things.

The price scale is to make my services more affordable for low-income families. I am also  open to trade and willing to barter.

Postpartum Doula Services:

Price: $15-$25 an hour

What you get:

A free consultation to see if we are a good fit with each other. For postpartum services I do it by the hour. I can help with meal prep, watching older children, watching baby while you take a nap or get other things done that you need, washing dishes and other household chores, etc. I can help teach you things like basic breastfeeding positions, ways to boost milk production, and the difference between baby blues and postpartum depression. If you have questions, I can help to either answer them myself or point you in the direction of some really good references. My job is to help you out as a new mom. Whatever ways you think I can help you, I will do my best to deliver.

Placenta Encapsulation:

Price: $100

What you get:

There are many benefits to consuming your placenta after birth. I know from personal experience just how beneficial it can be. It can help increase milk supply, help you to regain your energy and heal more quickly, help to stabilize your hormones and has many other benefits that you can read about here:

https://placentabenefits.info/faq/

If I haven’t attended your birth, you will need to call me right after you have your baby so that I can come pick up the placenta from you and start getting it processed. I will get it back to you within 5 days. If you live in Provo, I can deliver the placenta pills for free. If you live  outside of Provo a small delivery fee will be applied that will be based off of how far away from me you are (This is mostly just to cover my gas costs).

You also have the option of eating your placenta raw. People usually put small chunks into mostly fruit smoothies so that you can’t taste the placenta flavor. If you choose to do this, I can give you some good recipe recommendations and can also prepare smoothies that are ready to blend.
